Lamentation of Lolth is seeking a replacement! **One slot available**

With the loss of one great player we must pick up another. For those not familiar with the specifics the majority of those in the group have been with us from 1st now and are now 6th, on the way to play through the City of the Spider Queen Forgotten Realms mega-adventure. If you are interested in being our replacement, this is the thread to discuss it in.

Post your concepts here for consideration. Your character will come in as 6th level, 35 point buy. Core books only please, nothing too crazy, but all concepts will be considered. We're not looking for any specific class so anything will do. Fire away!

While I'd be interested, my spidersense tells me that you probably want a faster pace of posting than I (at once every 2 days) can provide.

Sometimes it can be pretty thick and heavy. We've been known to do a barrage of posts one night, then a week with nothing. It depends on each of the group's equally crazed schedules.

Kirinke - This won't be the new OoC thread or anything. It's just here to interview potential replacements.

Wilphe - Kirinke is pretty much right there with our posting frequency. Whereas I would prefer someone who could post rather frequently if the need arises, the most important thing is that one does not hold others up in combat. Some weeks posts go out every day and sometimes there is a lull, depending on how busy I or anyone else may be that particular day/week. But who knows? It might even out in the end.

I would say feel free to post up a character concept anyway and I'll take a look at it. I plan to keep this thread up at least a day or two to give everyone enough time to see it and jump in if they'd like a chance at the spot. Who knows, you might be the only one interested

I normally tend to go Rogue/Fighter or Bard.
I like hitting things, but I like social fu too.
I really want to play gish, but I bog down in spell selection.

Before reading any of that I'll throw in Gaisforth, who I'e been wanting to get out of my head for a while now:
Male Drow Bard, but not the "merry troubadour type", more a master of propoganda, satire, rumour planting and what would, in the modern world, come under "Dirty tricks" and PSYOPs.

Core books only? I assume that is PHB/DMG/MM or does that include the Completes? (Your Rogues Gallery has a few Paragons from the Races series, which is why I ask)

Two current concepts, prefer the first, but will do the second if only "Core" core books.

• Vardrin Theese, CG Human Warlock: Vardrin Theese is on a crusade to fight evil (in this case cults, evil outerplaner influence, bad, naught gods) with power taken from evil (his warlock abilities). He was wronged in the past by dark cultists of an extra-planar power; he turned their own arts against them by becoming a warlock. Fighting evil with evil may not be the wisest course of action, but he is highly motivated and forceful about it.
• Dazann Keldest, NG Human Bard: Dazann was once a promising and idealistic recruit in the Baldur's Gate militia, but the cities corruption turned in him away. He took to streets, digging up information that people did not want to be found and crying it out on every street corner. Though he was eventually driven out of town, he still walks the world, seeking out and exposing how the powerful keep the weak down.

FRCS is certainly permitted. I will make an exception on the Complete Books if you'd prefer and such like the Paragon example. Paragon was something that came up later in the game that wasn't in the original plan of one of our characters, which I allowed because I liked the concept behind it. I'm really not that averse to other splat books coming in, it's mainly to keep it simple for the players and myself, (who hasn't bought a new sourcebook for 3.5 in years)

For those wanting to read what we're up to, I'd like to recommend that you click the "Master games" link at the bottom of my signature and view Lamentation of Lolth Chapter VI starting with post #435 on page 11. Reading throughout those posts will fill you in quite nicely.

Manzanita & Darkmaster are also gone. (I'll be putting up a new RG later tonight in order to clear out the losses)
