Community Supporter Account Sale Back On!

Morrus

Well, that was fun

As you may remember, before the Great Database Crash there was a sale for Community Supporter Accounts.

I'm putting the sale back on for a week, so if you missed out - now's your chance. A CS Account usually costs $45, but right now it's only $19.99!

A CS Account lasts for one year. Community Supporter Accounts directly fund EN World's monthly operating costs and make sure we get to stay here. So please, even if you don't really need the functions listed below, consider purchasing an account just to help support EN World.

In addition, CS Accounts give you the following benefits:

  • Access to the Search Function
  • A custom title under your username
  • Access to the Private Messaging system
  • The ability to see "Who's Online" and where they are
  • Lots of discounts at the EN World GameStore
  • 3% cashback on every purchase made at the EN World GameStore
  • A strong sense of satisfaction!

Future plans include enabling Community Supporters to switch ads on and off, and access to a special "dev" box where all new features on EN World will be trialled before being launched on the site as a whole (in the interests of staying stable and not having any more crashes!).

To get a Community Supporter Account, just click right here!

[As a side note to those whose CS Accounts were affected by the database crash - I should have you all back up and running with apologies, with some extra time to make up for it, by the end of this week!]

My CS account expires on July 1st. Can I buy the renewal now and have it push back the expiry date to July 1 2007?

Yes - but please be aware there's a slight oddity in the way vBulletin handles overlapping accounts. A new one goes through immedietly and automatically, but an overlapping account will, unfortunately, deactivate the old account - requiring me to manually handle the transaction to set it as it should be. If you decide to do that, best thing is to post in Meta saying you have so I can fix it for you - it does mean you'll be without CS features until I do, but I'll do it as soon as I see the post.

Can we buy multiple years (at this rate) to add to one existing account?

Can we buy a year to give as a gift to someone else?

Yes and yes - but, again, it will confuse vBulletin. So go ahead and do it, and then post in Meta that you have done so (if someone's already started a thread on that sort of thing when you get there, please try to keep it to the one thread). Bear in mind that doing so will mean you temporarily lose your CS Account until it's manually fixed!
