There are a variety of adventure products (series of adventures, World's Largest Dungeon, Accordlands Campaign Adventure, Shackled City).

But there seems like there are more good ones out there than I could hope to finish.

How long are these taking to finish? Is the Wizards one year projection good? Does playstyle or editing make it shorter or longer? Or do they invariably end early?

Let me know! (Poll forthcoming...)

Well, if you run the epected 12 or 13 encounters per level, that'd be 240 encounters to 20th. Say 5/session (which I think would be wildly optimistic) and weekly sessions, you could finish in a year with a few weeks off for Christmas.

Easily 2 years I reckon however it depends on the style of the campaign. If it's hack n slash all thru then it's gonna be a lot quicker. You want lot's o' RP then it's gonna take longer maybe.

There's also the availability of time for players. If you only get 3-4 hours/week like we do because of commitments then this is going to slow that progress down. But hey, who cares, I'll get to 20 when I do.

We didn't finish, but we had a TPK in the WLD after 16 months at level 18 for most.
One more month and we would have finished it.

But the TPK happened in the biggest battle of the dungeon, so restarting was too anti-climactic.

It took us 19 four-hour sessions to complete the first half of the Age of Worms. If I was running it weekly, we could easily do it in a single year.

Note that I tend to run combats faster than many, nor do I expand the adventures greatly with lots of roleplaying. I'd say most groups would take longer.

Cheers!

we started at lvl 1 and had a TPK at lvl 4. so we hit restart at lvl 4 and ran until lvl 14/15.

it took us 4 years to get to there.

the highest lvl pc was lvl 15. but the majority of the party was lvl 14.

edit: it was still too fast for my tastes.

We play what works out to be once every three weeks. We bagan Age of Worms last August. We will be finishing up Hall of Harsh Reflections next session (or thereabouts). That's the 4th installment of 12 in the AoW campaign, for those who don't know.

If it was a weekly campaign - we could do it in a year. As it stands, it will be two more years to finish the AoW AP. This seems to be pretty average. While there are exceptions (and some of the chapters take a little less than others) the average is 4 gaming sessions per chapter in the AoW AP. So yeah - 48-50 sessions is about right.

I'll be sitting out Savage Tide in its entirety it seems. The unknown 4th AP from Paizo seems to be likely the next one for my group!

We just started "Age of Worms", so I can't directly comment.

But, with the same group, we just finished a campaign that went from 1st to 20th level, using mostly the 3E WotC "Adventure Path" modules (Sunless Citadel, etc.). That took 3 years, but we're lucky if we play once a month, for 4-5 hours.

Based on previous history, I'm guessing it'll take us 3 sessions, on average, to finish a module...so 3 years or so is probably a good guess for this one, too.

Oops, voted for under [crap, OVER] 1 year, which is totally not true. Read that as Under a year. Heck, all of our campaigns, no matter what level they started at, end before 6 mos.
