Midnight the movie

humm....dosen't look too bad. The prostetic makeup work on the orc is good, the acting doesn't seem too bad, and the limited visuals they show seem pretty good. Hope this at least gets picked up by SciFi or direct to DVD sale....

I wouldn't say they're not doing anything with the setting....there's been a stream of something like 3-5 products each year almost since it came out. I think 4 coming out this year alone.

Maybe not to the same quality levels with respect to hardcover, glossy paper etc. as an FR book, but pretty good for FFG....and the actual content quality is very good.

This is a bit of a shock. FFG doesn't seem to doing much with the setting and blam there's a film coming out about it. That's cool, I've always loved the setting.

Ooh !- Thanks Crothian - this actually looks pretty cool! But :

"Doesn't seem to be doing much with the setting"??!!?? I think, perhaps, it may have been flying under your radar instead.

Midnight is the best supported setting around in terms of continued support.

Check it:

Midnight now has over 15 supplements published in addition to the core book, at least 4 of which were released in the last 10 months...

I wanna see the movie!

Heh...that white haired guy doing the talking in the last half of the trailer sounds suspiciously like Pepin the Healer in Diablo.

Hope I get to see this. Is it scheduled for theatrical release?

They'll have to be careful lest they get pigeon-holed as a LotR clone. Any fantasy film now would have that problem, but Midnight doubly-so.

Quite true, but they could spin it to their advantage. "See, this is what happens when Sauron wins..." I must admit though it would be best to steer clear of that.

So this is the second RPG to get translated to film? WW had the TV series that lasted a season, are there any others I'm forgetting?

Good Luck FFG!
