Want to start your own POD Company?

Hey Everyone,

Gen Con is over and Christmas is around the corner so I have an interesting business proposition for one of you!

I have enough older equipment laying around for a small publisher to star his/her own POD service.

This equipment is good for producing about 100 books in an 8 hr. shift. We were saving it for backup but when you make 2k books in 8 hrs, this older equipment is not really backup; it just takes up needed space.

So, I am willing to sell a color printer, B&W printer, binding equipment, scoring board, a cutter and laminator (everything you need to make books) , and a week of training for a mere 18k.

You can start selling your own books at cost equal to purchasing high volume from a traditional printer! Plus you can produce books for others for some serious profit!

This is a one-time chance to make profit with your hobby.

Serious inquires only! And sorry I wont do payment plans. Shoot me an e-mail at ken@rapidpod.com or call me at 502-212-6258.

Thanx,
Ken Whitman

Okay this is being asked already, so...

You can produce 100 100page books a day. The going market is $3.20 per 100page book. So you can gross $320 a day or $1,600 a week.

It cost you about 1/3 of that for paper and ink. The rest is labor and profit.

So assuming you work 50 weeks out of the year you can produce 25,000 books a year and gross 80k if all you do is sell to publishers. If you are printing your own books that you distribute the profit margin is much higher.

For more information contact me directly. A lot of what I do is trade secret and will only be taught to the lucky one that decides to purchase my equipment.

Thanx,
Ken Whitman

This seems to be something people have trouble doing for some reason. Some of them are publishers who were doing business with you. They were under the impression that you were out of business entirely, again. I imagine this thread is going to draw some folks who have questions about this business. Did you go to Gen Con? Because I know a number of people who couldn't reach you and hoped to catch up with you there.

no problems on this end

I did not go to Gen Con because we are curently over loaded in work. My partners Beth Ditto & Derrick Thomas went around to all of the people we printed for... some 35 companies this year. Everyone got product on time, and no complaints this year. A 110% sucess for Rapid POD!!!

As far as getting a hold of us, we get almost 100 calls a day. I do my best but there is no way to get back with everyone within an hour after they call.

This year, we did turn down work, so I am sorry for those of you who could not use Rapid POD, my only sugestion is plan farther ahead if you want to use us... or look into www.qualitypod.com.
