Solomon was born the first of two sons to Logos, Sorcerer of the second tier. His mother died when he was 10 leaving a distanced father to raise two boys allowing them to have their way. While Logos was able to train their minds, he was never the authority figure for either of his sons.
As is usual for his country, Solomon as the first-born entered military service at age 18. Being the son of a prominent Sorcerer, his skills in the arcane were balanced with military technique during his training. He was destined to become one of the bodyguards to the Emperor. His quick wit and natural charisma saw him rise quickly, but he was often too direct with his tongue and so was limited in his military advancement. His father (not in the military) had hoped for a son to follow his trade spent more of his time with Solomon's younger brother growing distant over the years.
After serving the compulsory military term (6 years) Solomon decided to offer his services outside of the Empire hiring on with Mercenaries traveling where they will.
