Slot 1: Capellan
Slot 2: OPEN
Slot 3: Yttrai
Slot 4: Mantisking
Slot 5: Henry
Slot 6: Oncarou na Gabriel

In the wake of the death of Ulster's greatest hero, a diabolical conspiracy puts all of Ireland in danger. Second-string heroes and supporting characters from Celtic legend must unite to save the day!

I ran this game last year at Gencon and then another time afterwards, and it gets more fun each time. Iron Heroes lovers, Celtic mythology lovers, and those who want to learn more should post to express interest, and then I can figure out the best time to schedule a session.

OK, you twisted my arm. I'll play :)

Are you accepting Newbies... I have never played Iron Kingdoms but have always wanted to try... I am free Saturday and Sunday Mornings until Noon

Hi Capellan and Leg. Leg--the system is Iron Heroes, which is different than Iron Kingdoms. A passing knowledge of Iron Heroes is a good thing. I'll post character sheets, though, and all you need to be able to figure out (perhaps asking a friend who has the book or a helpful Iron Heroes board person) is what your character's abilities mean. Post pending with brief descriptions of the characters!

Aoife, Shadow Amazon Weapon Master 9 of the Greatspear / Man-at-Arms 1

Personality: Aoife believes herself superior to those who cannot best her in single combat, and she has never been defeated but once. She can thus sometimes come across as a bit haughty, but she considers herself to simply be assertive and sure of her own worth. She does respect others who show their worth in battle, however, and she is always eager to test herself against those she respects to see who will be the victor.

Appearance: Aoife is lithe, nimble, and muscular enough to hold her own but not overly so. She has long dark hair, which she binds carefully to keep it out of her way during a fight but otherwise prefers to wear free and flowing. Her sky-blue eyes reveal the cunning appraising gaze of a warrior, and her beauty might draw the unwanted attention of men if not for the huge spear that she carries with obvious skill and grace. She absolutely never wears a dress or other garments of a delicate lady, preferring her armour or just light warrior garb.

Briccriu Thief 10

Personality: Briccriu is a trickster and a bit of a scoundrel, but that doesn't mean he doesn't love his land and the people in it. He just can't help but create elaborate pranks to play any more than he can banish the poetic muse inside of him that spurs him to create new songs and poems.

Appearance: Not the most muscular of men, nonetheless, Briccriu uses his guile and indomitable personality to wield his weapon with the might of a much stronger warrior. He has short red hair and green eyes, and he tends to wear clothes to fit in wherever he goes, whether on the road or at a courtly function.

Cormac Cond Longas, Exiled Prince Hunter9/Man-at-Arms1

Personality: Honourable and fair, but sometimes rash, Cormac is willing to forgo the luxury of his youth to keep in line with his own scruples. Because he holds himself to the same levels he expects of them and always leads a battle in the front line, he is much beloved by those he leads in battle, and even the other Ulstermen respect and praise him, despite the fact that he joined the forces of Connacht against them.

Appearance: Cormac's light sandy-brown hair and rich brown eyes, so similar to his father's, lend some credence to the story that he was born of incest. Nonetheless, he carries himself with a heroic bearing that inspires loyalty and confidence in those around him, and he swings his sword with a combination of impressive muscles and the skill of a man taught the blade by Fergus mac Roth himself.

Cailte mac Ronain, Harrier9/Man-at-Arms1

Personality: Cailte is somewhat of an enigma to others around him. He is often quiet and reserved in his travels, as he moves at high speeds among the most beautiful spots in the land, composing poems in his mind on the sensations and feelings as he does. In his peregrinations, he is as one with nature, and he feels more at home with the animals and plants than he does staying in one place in a city. When he does meet with companions, however, he is an interesting mix of slow wise caution and quick action, like a river that rushes and slows unexpectedly.

Appearance: Cailte has fairly-long reddish-brown hair and usually sports a fairly long beard of the same hue. His green eyes glance all around as he runs, and his hair sweeps back behind him in the wind.

Conall Cernach, the Victorius Man-at-Arms10

Personality: Conall is fiery and brave, and though some would call his collection of trophies from fallen opponents morbid, he considers it a point of pride. Though fiery and vengeful against those who wrong him or seek him or his friends harm, Conall desires to win his fights fairly. Against opponents who have lost an arm, he fights one-handed, and this includes some of his greatest victories. In this way, he puts his flexible all-around combat training to good use.

Appearance: Conall's neck was slightly crooked at birth, but it was later straightened, and so Conall is proud to hold his head high. He is strong, tough, and dexterous, making him perhaps Ulster's second-greatest warrior. His blond hair is often worn not quite short with a slight beard, and his green eyes call out a challenge to enemy warriors that few can meet.

Forgall, Young Warrior of Lusk

Personality: Forgall vacillates between being fearless, brave, and a bastion of strength in battle and uncertain, awestruck, naïve, and a bit shy in some social situations. Eager to prove himself, Forgall exults in battle even without the mighty Riastradh. When in its throes, it is almost impossible to stop him without letting it run its course.

Appearance: Forgall is not remarkably tall, but he is muscular and handsome. His hair is a bit unusual, ranging from brown near his skin to red in the middle, and finally to golden blond at the tips of the curly locks that fall between his shoulders. His left hand, which sometimes carries a dark crimson shield with a rim of white silver but often helps hold his axe, has six fingers, though it is not immediately noticable. Perhaps more striking are the two pupils in each blue eye.

Also, of note, Brigid (the Archer) is another available character. No one chose to play her last year, so I didn't fully stat her out yet.

I am sure I could get a hold of a book.... If the schedule permits I would love to play Aoife....

I'd love to play, though between DMing for the Dungeon Crawl Classics tournament and other stuff, I'm only available on Thursday evening (after 8:00 PM) and Friday evening (after 7:00 PM).

If you happen to schedule the game in these slots, please sign me up!

(If it matters, my preferred characters would be Briccriu or Conall.)

I would love to play. I have free time each day, but I'm not exactly sure when. I have my schedule at home. I'll post more info later today.

I'd be interested, depending on the time.

I'm free Friday after 5 (except maybe for the ENnies ceremony), Saturday before noon & after 6, and Sunday after 2. I signed up for a seat at the Munchkin Tournament on Thursday night, but I could drop that. And Friday morning is also negotiable (I want to try Tide of Iron, but there are a number of slots).

Aoife or Cormac sound cool.

PS: I've played IH all of once, at Gen Con SoCal 2005. Adam was the GM...
