Every year at the time of the solstice, the villagers of St. Silas commemorate their century-old victory over the fearsome Winter Witch. Gentlefolk travel from all over the Three Kingdoms to partake of the festivities -- the bards' tales, the fine foods, the dancing and revelry. You and your comrades-in-arms have just returned from a harrowing expedition, flush with looted treasure and the thrill of cheating death once again. The festival seems like the perfect place for a well-earned rest.

Since the victory over the Witch, snow falls rarely in St. Silas. Superstition has it that snowfall during the festival heralds a long, harsh winter, so when the first flakes began to slowly drift to earthm there was a collective sense of disappointment. Now seven days have passed, and the town is buried under a blanket of white. Still the snow falls, light but constant. A trapper staggers into town, frost-bitten and near death. With his final breath, he gasps "The Winter Witch has returned."

A Grim Tales game for 6 mid-level characters. Pre-gens will be provided.

1. Glassjaw
2. Ao the Overkitty
3. Steve Jung
4. Quartermoon
5. Dire Wolf
6. Open

Hey Rod, is this an original adventure you wrote? Sounds very cool. I should be arriving on Wed but I'm not sure what time yet. If I arrive in time, count me in. Hopefully I'll know what my travel plans are soon.

Yep, it's an original. The time is flexible; I just didn't want to overlap Canadiana entirely. I'm going to try and be sociable this year

I don't have my flight nailed down yet, but I'd love to play in this! Can you please reserve me a slot until I can confirm?

I don't suppose you could start at, say, 6-7 instead of 4? I think this sounds really great, but don't think I could get in that early...

I'm not hung up on a particular starting time; I'd originally picked 4-8 so as not to conflict with the traditional Wed. evening festivities. If later is better with all interested parties, I'm certainly amenable to adjusting the time.

I'm fortunate enough to have a direct flight that gets into Indy around 10:30am Wed, so I can be totally flexible.
