Omega World d20 from the Polyhedron side of Dungoen #94 is a much superior game.

It couldn't have left fast enough. I just wish a real Gamma World was done for d20.

Heh... yeah. Fans of the old game have said, in less kind terms, that it failed to live up to their expectations.

Though many admit they would have liked it if it weren't called Gamma World.

I'm currently converting Gamma World module GW2 - Famine in Far-Go to True20.

There is also Darwin's World by RPGObjects.

It is more "Realistic" setting, but much better basic setting rules.

If you take Darwin's World, mutate it with Omega World, and give it the defect that was D20 Gamma World, then you will have a winner!

Yes and sort of. The first book released, the PH is pretty bad, but as the line continues, the books get much better. If you want to take the time to rewrite the character creation rules, it is a good resource.
