The Awards Ceremony is Friday, August 17th at the Indiana Roof Ballroom starting at 9:30.
Due to time constraints and the VIG reception dinner occuring just before, there will only be half an hour from the time the doors open until the ceremony starts. All those with Gen Con badges are welcome to attend.
Doors open at 9pm for cocktails and a chance to get your opening bids in on our Silent Auction.
Ceremony will be over by midnight.
Afterwards, depending on budget and room constraints, there will be Stuff To Do. Somewhere. I'll update when I get more info.
As for Volunteers, there are four main areas in which peeps can help at Gen Con:
1. Bag stuffing. We're getting 1,000 dice courtesy of the the peeps at YourGamesNow.com, and will need to stuff 'em with a card into baggies for distribution.
2. Booth set up and tear down. Set up is Wednesday. Tear down is Sunday after convention closes.
3. Awards ceremony help: we'll need ushers mostly, and Ambassadors: peeps whose job it is to work the room, help distribute/teach games, etc.
4. Booth volunteers: Crothian's got that well covered in another thread.
PS- the Gelflings might be bribed to offer babysitting for cash and/or Generic Tickets if peeps are looking for help in that regard.
