Edition proof Fall/Winter products

In the 4e seminar, it was mentioned that many products coming out this fall/winter would be edition-proof and sport a little logo for that. So, when you purchase the Book-of-Evil-Dudes (or whatever it is called), when 4e rolls around, you will get a 4e stat eratta so you can still use the book.

My main questions (since it affects my purchasing this Fall/Winter) is which books are protected, and will those books be part of the on-line database for 4e, and will materials in these books be usable in the map generator or character generator (if applicable)?

If anyone has heard anything else on this (or if I am mis-remembering), please post here.

There are books and products not tied to any edition (edition proof):

Dungeon Tiles
Dice
Three Dragon Ante
Inn Fighting
Dungeon Survival Guide
Grand History of the Realms
Eberron Survival Guide


There are books and products that will get a 4e update

Exemplars of Evil
Elder Evils
Dragons of Eberron
Eberron City of Stormreach
Desert of Desolation DDM


and there are products that are 4e previews or feature final 4e rules

Wizards Presents: Classes and Races
Wizards Presents: Worlds and Monsters
Grand History of the Realms
Desert of Desolation DDM
Keep on the Shadowfell

Now, for the products that get updated, will they be part of the online-versions, or does that start with the official 4e products?

The updates for the 3.5 products I mentioned will be web only. e-books will start with the first of the 4e books

If you mean like the current Basic Game there will be later in 2008.

If you mean like the adventure game from the 3e launch that will be in the adventure Keep on the Shadowfell in April of 2008 that will include pre-gen characters and quick start 4e rules
