And so it begins......

It is not hard to find Ms. Kot’diana, the second mate of Sir Rugrew. She stands at an empty table in the center of the pub with an assortment of papers filled in neat stacks. Ms. Kot’diana, is a pleasing looking human female with short dark hair, light green eyes and a slightly pale complexion. As you finish discussing the finer details of the job and sign the contract she directs you to a large empty table in the back of the pub. She asks you to wait there until everyone is signed up so that she briefs everyone at one time.

The late afternoon turns into evening as one by one the rest of the would-be hired hands make their way from Kot’diana to the table in back of the room. It is not long before your table is joined by the growing sound of noise patrons as the usual evening crowd begins to trudge in for their stale ale and greasy slop. For some of those in the group this unforgettable smell and scene is something that you hope to put well into your past. And yet for others, it will be added to other fond and sorely missed places in their memories.

Just when you shortly after the pub reaches its peek tolerance and your patience reaches its, that last member of your group makes there way to your table with Kot’diana following shortly behind. She neatly places all of the papers in a small carrier and then moves to great all of your with a welcoming smile.

Well first I would like to thank you all for signing up with Sir Rugrew and if your skills are as potent as they appear, hope that we all can profit from this experience beyond this one time occurrence. Sir Rugrew will be unable to greet you all this evening as he is detained with other clients who will be traveling with the caravan to Sharn. The road to Sharn though usually uneventful does offer an occasional and always ‘irritating’ surprise every now and then. Sir Rugrew has hired you and your talents in order to help deal with those irritations should they arise.

Food and water for all will be provided and horses will be loaned to those who have requested them. The horses do not belong to you and that any damage to them outside the terms of your contract will be deducted from your pay. Also, if you need divine services during the trip see Sotch, he is a priest of the Flame that will be traveling with us to Sharn.

Sir Rugrew wants to get an early start tomorrow, so if there are no questions, I shall see you all just outside the western gate at first light.

OOC: I figure I give you all this much too at least introduce yourselves. If you want/need horses, just post that you have one when I post the next phase.

Toldar Barlom Human Artificer

Toldar shifts lightly on his seat as he reaches for his ale, he looks at the other hired hands, some of them he recognized some of them he did not. The ones he recognized it must have been from the marked areas. 'Well Im Toldar fellas... born and raised in Sharn. Seems like we heading that way on this trip' Toldar holds his glass up 'for the M.Doggs' He walks over to the restroom thinking on if he remembered to feed the horse.

[sblock]Im not sure if you are writing more before we can post. Just give me a word and i delete this post -DH[/sblock]

Windlemas d'Orien, Human Scout

The short man with the gigantic moustache downs his ale, foamy remnants dripping off his whiskers. "The Mottled Dogs".

Numerous small axes hanging on his belt clank as he reaches over to shake Toldar's hand. "It's a pleasure, Toldar. Name's Windlemas of House Orien, recently of Aundair." He turns to the group at large. "The service of the Mark of Passage is at your disposal, friends, and the reputation of the House rides on every journey in which a member partakes. Safe travels."

"To the Mottled Dogs, indeed," the handsome khoravar (what half-elves in Khorvaire call themselves) with the form-fitting black studded leather says, raising his glass, "and while we also have the Mark of Storm on this journey, I'm not so sure about the reputation of House Lyrandar joining us... I seem to have misplaced it somewhere. My name is Gavrin d'Lyrandar, though please call me Gavrin."

The dwarf sniffled as the cold that currently held sway over him was causing his substantial nose to run something awful. He raised his sleeve to his face and proceeded to wipe his nose off in the folds of the material. No sooner did he do that, that he let go with a sneeze that rocked the glass of ale in front of him.

*ACHOOO!!!*

*sniff*

"Eh. 'Scuse me. Name's Massif. Work for Deneith. Not a member, just an employee."

Sitting at one end of the table, stroking the black ball of fur curled in his lap, the silver-haired man nods to those present and, still smirking at Gavrin's comment, proceeds to introduce himself. "Hermal Vown," he says, excluding his full surname out of equal parts modesty and spite, "of Karrnath, and most recently Atur Academy. A pleasure to meet you all." He looks down, meeting his familiar's gaze. "Mottled dogs..." he chuckles.

Van Maricore, human rogue

The thin dark man near the end of the table, having carefully chosen a seat with his back to a wall and with a good view of the front door, grimaces in acknowledgment as the round of introductions comes round to him.

"Van Maricore," he mutters, scanning the room. "Anyone know when we're leaving?"

CØ-H7 looks quite out of place sitting in his chair. The construct follows the introductions around the table and answers them "CØ-H7. And I second your question, when do we leave?"

'As Ms Kot'diana said, Sir Rugew wants us to meet up tomorrow morning outside the western gate'

"That's what the lady said all right. Still, I have trouble with directions. Perhaps I should seek out where our employer's lovely aide-de-camp went off to so I can be sure to make it to the gate on time..." Gavrin says, pulling a small mirror from a belt pouch and inspecting his fine features. He gets up to find his quarry once satisfied with his appearance, assuming there are no interruptions from the rest of the group.

[sblock=OOC]Yep, Gavrin's going to try to seduce Ms. Kot'diana. And he'll be doing that pretty much any time you describe a female as pretty or "pleasing looking." Success or failure is up to you, of course, Bloodweaver. Let me know if you want to roleplay it out or if you just want to briefly narrate the hopefully amusing success or failure.[/sblock]
