As I already have them preordered (actually, I have 7 copies of the PHB plus the Core Rules Gift Set preordered for the members of my gaming group), I would have no qualms about getting an early full preview.

That being said, E.N. World has strict policies about file sharing discussions, so this thread is destined to be locked. Sorry.

I know asking for or posting links is banned. But banning talking about the fact that pdf sharing takes place is like kind of a head-in-the sand thing.

thats why i emphasized this is hypothetical.

I think that the 2nd and 3rd choice of the poll should be included in the same choice. The way I take this poll is about the effects of piracy and not if you will generally and indefinitely buy 4e or not. What I am talking about here is that for some people the 2nd choice could be serving as a preview and based on their take on the preview decide if they would go on to have the 3rd choice. So what should they choose to vote?

This sentence no verb.
"be" is a verb. Technically, there's no subject, but because its imperative, the subject "you" is implicit.

Anyway, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to get the copies, but if I stumbled upon them I might read them. I would check here for spoilers, but either way, I certainly wouldn't cancel my preorders.

I would download them but I wouldn't cancel my pre-order.

And I wouldn't start playing right away, I much prefer to wait and have the real stuff in my hand. It would just help me prepare my campaign in advance. Beside, printing a PDF sometimes cost as much as buying the real stuff and it's nowhere as beautiful as a full colored hardback with glossy pages.
