D&D 4E New Collaborative File-Sharing Site for 4E Goodness

I've created a website for this community to compile, collect, and host our work. It's applicable to this post, but also several others around here (like the attack icons).

This site was created using Google Sites, a robust community website builder that's part of the Google Apps suite. Google Sites gives us invitation capability to select users and gives us up to 10 GB of storage space.

Currently, you need a Gmail account to contribute to this site, but they are free. I am also providing Gmail accounts through educatedgamer.net for a limited time. So if you want fred@educatedgamer.net for example, just make a comment below (include your first & last name and desired username) and I will set up an account for you. Creating a gmail or educatedgamer account also provides you with services such as Google Docs and Google Calendar - with Zero ads or spam.

Of course, if you just want to lurk, that's cool too.

Again, if you want to contribute, you need a Gmail account or Educatedgamer account (which I can create). Then I need to add you as a collaborator. Once you have an account, Educatedgamer folks can click on the login link in the lefthand menu, while Gmail folks will have to log into gmail before visiting the site in order to edit.

P.S. I should note that all the work on this site will be covered under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 United States License. In short, you may copy, sample, and remix any content for non-commercial purposes as long as you attribute the work to the proper artist. Woo!

Awesome, I'll have to check it out (though it will be some time this summer before I'm going to have any appreciable time to contribute sadly.)

could I get a Graf -*at*- educated.gamer login?
the wotc wiki system is interesting in principal but something connected to EnWorld would make me more comfortable.

Wait, there's a WotC wiki? Where?

If I understand correctly the DDI is going to include some kind of player driven WotC moderated wiki. So they're be an eberron wiki or whatever and the community would fill it in.

Sounds great in principal right? I guess my concerns are that it'll be closed to non subscribers (if I'm doing something for free do I really want wizards to own it and monetize it?) and it'll be flooded by people who don't respect the opinions of others (not that EnWorld doesn't have some of that, but it's better than at WotC).

Buuuuut?
There are a lot of fantastic threads/posts that could really sit by themselves. I know EnWorld had articles for a while, but that seems to have wilted a little bit.
And, frankly, a lot of posts are decent ideas, but become awesome when you mix in two or three excellent ideas in the responces below.

Now that I'm thinking about it the extra moderating load is probably a barrier?

Nah, just the work involve in getting it physically installed,working, and integrated properly into EN World. You've seen how long just upgrading the boards takes!

Hey Morrus, I just want to extend an offer for you and anyone here at ENWorld to be part of this site. While it's technically on my domain, it's actually on Google's servers and such - so bandwidth and uptime isn't my concern. I also built it with the idea that it would belong to the community, not me.

If you want to join, send me your Gmail address or I can create an educatedgamer.net account for you (just need first, last name and desired username). You can contribute to the site with ether gmail or educatedgamer accounts. I can make you an Owner of the site, which would give you invitation abilities and let you change the look and feel to whatever you want.

So far, I have been stunned by the ease of use and freedom that Google Sites gives small organizations. Again, anyone is welcome to lurk, contribute, or manage this!
