At MSRP, it's actually $0.10 more expensive to get the set ($104.95 vs. 3 times $34.95). The slipcase is very high quality though, and worth at least $0.10.

Maybe MSRP, but when I bought mine on Amazon, thee was a substantial discount over buying the set. I forget what it was exactly, but I think about 10 dollars or so.

If I order them separately, I got to pay extra money for the single prices addded together and extra money for the shipping cost increase.

Currently, the box set is 57.72, but the individual cost of the books is 71.83. So its reasonably cheaper to get the set.

The really great thing about ordering the box set from Amazon is that on the day it's supposed to be shipped, they send you a friendly email saying that it's actually going to take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks longer! This, of course, only heightens the anticipation, so it makes for an overall better consumer experience...

Maybe your cats. Neither of mine will fit
