Due to a request, here is an animal converted from 2nd edition. It's the Vulture. (slightly modified of course :p)

Skills: Listen +4, Spot +4 (+8 in daylight)

Climate/Terrain: Warm forest, hills, plains, and mountains.
Organization: Solitary, pair, or pack (3-20)
Challenge Rating: 1/2
Treasure: None
Alignment: Always Neutral
Advancement: 2 HD (Small); 3HD (Medium-Sized)

Disease and Venom immunity (Ex): Vultures are immune to all natural diseases and natural poisons, such as those produced by giant vermin and venemous snakes.

I like this one a bit better than the Nyambe one (higher dex and con but only has a +4 racial bonus to disease) Some poisons do work on vultures though.

Combat

Blind Sight: While underwater Platypi can ascertain all foes within 40 feet as a sighted creature would. Beyond that range, they treat all targets as totally concealed. This ability is due to electrosensors in the Platypi’s bill.

Poison: Fortitude save DC: 14. Initial Damage 1d2 Con, Secondary damage 1 Con

Now corrected to two HP.

And the only mention of the poison I found at the time just mentioned that it made humans deathly ill. Not fatal to my recollection.

A miniature rhino looks like a smaller version of a normal rhinoceros. There are black and white miniature rhino’s. Just like normal rhino’s, these creatures are very strong and tough.

It's maybe a bit too weak for CR 1, but too tough for CR 1/2. Any input on that is highly appreciated. :)

Well, I never said it had to be an existing animal... Extinct and new animals are good too. :D

By the way, I really like the miniature rhino. In a pinch the stats can be used for a baby rhino. :D
