So, one of my players wants to take on a half-celestial template via class levels, which certainly meshes with his backstory, and would actually be slightly underpowered compared with his current character, so it's not too big a deal. But, thematically, well, it sucks. His character's history is most definitely tied in with Arborea, but the half-celestial class is banally unrelated to any of the actual celestials listed in the MM.
To that end, I've put together a half-eladrin template class. I've separated things by individual changes for ease of examination. I'd really likely to hear from y'all about whether this seems balanced with similar template classes (search for "Savage Progressions" on the Wizards website), and whether the spell-like abilities seem thematically appropriate (I drew almost entirely from the Ghaele and Bralani spell-like abilities).

Daylight gaze (Su): A half-eladrin can, at will, cast from his eyes a 60-foot cone of light mimicking the spell daylight for all purposes except shape.
