[QUOTE="Arkhandus, post: 4953584, member: 13966"] Racial hit dice are monster hit dice, just for creatures that have them normally; such as ogres, thri-kreen, or lizardfolk. Most humanoids start with a class level instead, but not all; those who naturally have 2 or more racial hit dice don't normally start as 1st-level characters. That's all that's meant by 'racial hit dice'; they're monster hit dice that some races have. [S]Wilette, I have to find an artificer or alchemist base class that works alright, but I don't know of any decent ones that are available to me besides the Artificer from the Tome of Secrets, a Pathfinder supplement. I *might* allow that or a Technologist from EN Publishing's "The Fantastic Science," but I haven't read it in full yet so I'm not sure about it yet. Nonetheless, I'll take a look at the PDFs I bought and see if something works. D&D's official Artificer class was never given a decent preview outside of the Eberron book itself, which I don't have; the only preview of the class is a woefully incomplete one in Dragon Magazine that doesn't detail their Augmentations or whatever they're called, so it's useless.[/S] Edit: Finished looking over The Fantastic Science again. You can use the Technologist class Wilette, or the Savant class in the appendix, if you like. But if you do, you'll need to buy a copy of the PDF from RPGNow. I won't supply the rules-material for it myself, and I'm not gonna handle the massive workload of typing out all the rules and gadgets from The Fantastic Science myself, even if I didn't encourage supporting EN World and just buying the cheap PDF.
