[OOC](Fancy new OOC and GM tags - thumbs up or thumbs down?) Sorry, my description was unclear. You do not have to pass the gate to return the way you came. The fort is set across the road a little bit further past the main part of the town (there are a few town buildings alongside the fort wall on one side). To return to Fulcrum you'd be heading away from it, and so far, you haven't had to approach very close to it. (It may seem a little curious that the Jade people appear to more concerned with controlling the road than protecting the town... but it seems like that's how their priorities lie.) It also may have been unclear that the group was entering the fort, not leaving it. So basically, if you just leave them alone and wait for a minute, the coast will be clear.[/OOC] [gm]I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon before resolving Papolstanaas' and Jynxx' action to give the other PCs a chance to react. Jynxx, there are some roofs you could climb on adjacent to the road, but you'd need to make Athletics to climb and still need Stealth checks to remain unseen. I'd give you a small bonus to the Stealth check against observers on the ground but you have also seen some patrolling dragonborn soldiers on the fort walls... and if you are seen on a roof, you'd be very conspicuous/suspicious. You'd probably be better off trying to stay behind the buildings which is what I imagine Papolstaanas is doing. Also, there are about 50 feet of completely open space around the gate - all indications are that the people who set up this fort knew what they were doing. Still, you could get quite a bit closer than your present position (about 150 feet away) for a better look.[/gm]
