[QUOTE="H.M.Gimlord, post: 5563488, member: 79440"] [GM]Tenchuu e-mailed me with Gensai's motivations, so I'm going to go ahead and keep the ball rolling.[/GM] The fetid reek of the prison yields to the relatively refreshing mist, like that of an approaching storm, all too familiar to Gensai as he leads the group up the staircase to the corridor, where just moments before, they faced almost certain death. As they round the corner into the corridor where Mervin protected Riardon's flight, a lingering scent of the wizard's rancid could of obscuring gas hangs in the stormy air. Remorse sweeps over the warlord like a wave as regret over his cowardly flight fills his heart, and there turns bitterly to anger and zeal for the wizard's recovery. The walls are slick, glazed with water leaching through rock walls that drips audibly in the virtually silent corridor. There is no sign of the kobolds with whom the party clashed so recently except the occasional rat skittering over the floor. The doors at the end of the hallway stand open, mockingly inviting the adventurers to enter. Over the pit through which Gensai and his companions fell the make-shift bridge still lies as if to say "We'll make it easy for you." On the far side of the pit, a large antechamber opens up, dimly lit, depicting a grusome scene. A rat crosses the room, squeaks when it sees the adventurers and skitters up the stairs of the dais to disappear behind the tapestry.
