D&D 3E/3.5 Arrow of spraying

This arrow after saturating it with either holy or unholy water for 2.5 days turns into the type of water that it was saturated with mid flight. It effects the target as though it was hit with the type of water the arrow was saturated with, it effects double if it was created by a cleric having either the sun or death domains.

OK thoughts:
  1. Your "loony" side is showing. (see "Real Men, Thespians, Brains, Loonies, & Munchkins")
  2. Why the 2.5 day (an odd time period) saturation requirement?
  3. Does saturating the arrow consume the (un)holy water the arrow soaks in?
  4. Does the archer have to make a regular ranged attack or a ranged touch attack to hit with this arrow?
  5. Variant: Arrow of Spraying (acid). The arrow transforms into acid in mid flight, inflicting acid damage on the target and splash damage to adjacent squares
  6. Variant: Arrow of Spraying (oil): The arrow transforms into a volatile oil in mid flight. If it hits, the target becomes vulnerable (+50% damage) to fire damage for the next 12 turns, due to the oil catching fire if the target is hit with a fire attack.

The time frame just allows for thouro saturation of the (un)holy water. You need to make a ranged touch attack to hit with this weapon. It consumes the (un)holy water in the process of saturation.

I'd make a more generic one:

Arrow of Spraying: when placed in any liquid substance the arrow ''drinks'' it into its form. When shot from a bow, the arrow does normal damage, but also explodes like a splash weapon attack with whatever liquid was used.

You don't really "need" a holy/unholy water arrow though, as if it's a magic arrow you can just do holy/unholy/or whatever is needed damage.
