OOC: Yair: My apologies, I will seek clarification in future. Getting the information would have required a season of study nonetheless; someone had to do it. Leo: It is certainly possible to meet with Horst; he is currently located at Fengheld. However, there are currently no active members of the Mercer House in the Rhine Gorge, though there is a Fengheld Chapter house in Cologne, which is theoretically the start of the Rhine Gorge. If you go to the Fengheld House we can have an interesting exchange with its current occupant. According to the Great Library, there have been no donations from Xantippes. As for reading books on Rhine Gorge area lore, that is how you got the 8 experience points. Ilshana; You are welcomed around the communities around Durenmar, and meet many interesting folk. The Abbey of Hersau and a number of little towns on the outskirts as well as the covenfolk around Durenmar. The men are enamored of you and you get many propositions around the inn later at night, generally followed by their wives dragging their husbands away. As you are interested mainly in the mundane, you get 8 experience points in Language: High German as that is the language that is mostly spoken. In Durenmar at least most of the covenfolk have some knowledge of Latin but mainly it is enough to take commands rather than converse. Despite barely speaking the language, you do pick up some interesting information. The majority of the covenants were dead before many of these covenfolk were alive, but one of the older grogs, a bookbinder names Jurgen tells you an interesting story. With a cracked and aging voice, sitting in his spot by the fire you hear that he once traveled to the Rheinstein covenant to do some repairs on their books, around twenty-three - nay, twenty-four! years ago. He tells you that they had a wondrous little island, and that the covenant itself was not on the mundane island, though they had a magnificent little keep to keep the tolls. No, the wizards laboratories were in fact in a magical place! He mentions how after he was put up in the normal castle for most of the day, when night fell he was blindfolded and led through knee-high water. When his hand was placed on something wood his blindfold was taken off, and the true covenant was revealed! An interesting story, at least. The senile old badger also tells you about his amazing case of gout and how the faeries keep stealing his thoughts to use in their giant dream machine. Gorgamesh: As you request info on magical creatures and the like, you begin to walk up to the second floor of the library. You find yourself under the beady eye of the Librarian, who tells you in no uncertain terms that if you wish to partake of information of a magical sort from the Great Library, payment must be made. Seeing as you quickly tell him you are a Peregrinator, he sighs and warns you of your impending death if you harm his books. He seems entirely serious. Roll me 2 simple die please. Thomas: Anything in particular you would like to do?
