[QUOTE="Argent Silvermage, post: 474950, member: 4322"] As the game opened up the players found themselves in the land of Avonshar for a variety of reasons. Avonshar is a land that is devoid of it's own gods and up until the clerics of the god of wanderers found the world it was devoid of sentient life. The truth... Avonshar or Paladine as it was originaly called was a world of polar opposites. The god or reason (Lawful good) and the Goddess of chaos (chaotic evil) were the creators of the world. Each made a race, and the races set about warring each other when they finaly met. This war escalated to the point that the god was worried that his world would be destroyed. The goddess on the other hand loved the slaughter and wanted it to continue. She contacted a god from outside her cosmology and brought Vecna into thier world. With Vecna's aid the goddess was able to conquer the forces of the god and was very happy until Vecna decided to turn on her and attempt to gain the world for himself. She was forced to call upon the god for aid and the 2 were able to force Vecna back to his own realm. Unfortunatly she decided to back stab the god and obliterated her own people in the process making them a race of undead monstrocitys. The god was able to save 50 of his race in a stasis field awaiting the day that some one would find them. The god used so much of his power that it will take him millinia to recover. As it stands the players have uncovered a long hidden fortress for the gods peoples. Yhe world as they find it has huge areas that look perfectly normal but radiate evil and are unhallowed permanatly. the goddess is still at work but has lost her focus so badly that she cannot remember what her porpous is.
