Caedmonian Soldier The Caedmonian army is notorious for their brutal training as well as their decisive war tactics. While few are able to master the art of controlling a battalion during the heat of battle, and thus few become Warmasters, most of a warmaster's cadre of troops will be drawn from the soldiery. Taught by the finest warriors and tacticians of the war academies, all caedmonian soldiers are trained in the crucial tactical moves which make the armies so glorious in battle. Most Caedmonian Soldiers are fighters, though even barbarians and rangers can recognize the necessity of a little tactics in combat. HD: d10 Requirements: BAB +5, Sense Motive 2 ranks, Cleave and Combat Reflexes feats. Class Skills: Climb, craft, handle animal, intimidate, jump, ride, sense motive, and swim. Skill points: 2+int Caedmonian Soldier Level BAB Fort Ref Will Special 1st +1 +2 +0 +0 Flanker 2nd +2 +3 +0 +0 Sidestep 3rd +3 +3 +1 +1 Interpose 4th +4 +4 +1 +1 Defensive Shield 5th +5 +4 +1 +1 Offensive Strike 1st +6 +5 +2 +2 - 2nd +7 +5 +2 +2 Delayed Cleave 3rd +8 +6 +2 +2 Unbalancing blow 4th +9 +6 +3 +3 - 5th +10 +7 +3 +3 Reciprocal Strike Flanker: A caedmonian soldier can flank enemies from seemingly impossible angles. He can designate any adjacent space as the square from which flanking against an ally is determined (including the square in which he stands). He may designate the square at the beginning of his turn or any time during his turn. The designated square remains his effective square for flanking until he is no longer adjacent to it or until he chooses a different square. The character can even choose a square that is impassable or occupied. Sidestep: A 2nd level soldier gains Sidestep feat. (Once per round , when you make an attack of opportunity, you may take a 5ft step after you attack. This 5ft step doesn't count against your limit of one step per round or against any movement you take on your turn) Interpose: A caedmonian soldier gains this ability, usable three times per day, at 3rd level. When an enemy threatens him in melee and makes a successful attack against an adjacent ally of his, the soldier may take the damage (and any accompanying effects) as if she had be hit instead. Defensive Shield: Starting at 4th level, whenever a soldier fights defensively, he provides up to two adjacent allies with a +2 dodge bonus to AC, though their attack rolls do not take the normal penalty. the rest follows as per mini handbook for tactical soldier. Thought it sounded Caedmonian when I read it.
