Hero Games has a project active on Kickstarter: Champions Villains III: Solo Villains! What Is The Champions Villains Trilogy? As fun and fascinating a place as it is, the Champions Universe wouldn’t be nearly as exciting a setting for superhero roleplaying campaigns without one major element: the villains! Player Characters are important, but without equally as impressive adversaries, antagonists, and foils, there wouldn’t be much reason for them to be heroes. Champions Villains — a trilogy of Champions supplements — describes the bad guys of the Champions Universe in thorough detail. It doesn’t describe every single villain, of course (three books, even big ones, aren’t enough for that), but within its three volumes you’ll find over 300 villains — the most important, intriguing, dangerous, and defining supercriminals in the setting. This book, Volume Three, covers solo villains: villains who aren’t a part of any specific team, who work as mercenaries for whoever can pay them, or who just prefer to keep to themselves. (Volume One covers master villains, and Volume Two villain teams.) Although the characters in Champions Villains are tied to the Champions Universe setting (which is detailed in the Champions Universe book), you can adapt them to your game in seconds. Just change the background and perhaps the name, and voila! — you’ve got a new villain for your game. Nothing could be simpler. What Do I Get? Depending on what reward level you choose, you get a physical hardcover color copy of Champions Villains Three: Solo Villains, an electronic copy in PDF format, a character pack of its characters that you can customize with Hero Designer software (sold separately), or all three books in the trilogy. All reward levels include a thank you in both PDF and printed versions. At higher reward levels the book will have a limited numbered, signed bookplate by its author, Steven S. Long. Champions Villains Three is a 336 page, full-color, hardcover masterpiece of a rogue's gallery containing 137 detailed and individually illustrated villains, from Alchemica to Zorran the Artificer. It has an awesome cover by Brian & Brendon Fraim, and contains contributions from over thirty years of Hero's writers and game designers including Steven S.
