What about ranger? That way the druid levels will be naturally explained as the character devoting themself to the more spiritual side of paganism.

How did you generate the ability scores? It seems a little strange to put your highest into charisma. You may want to move the 17 to wisdom and put the 16 in con. The low score can go in charisma (hey, he grew up in the woods and may not relate to people well) or even strength.

If you take the track feat, the druid can easily be a better tracker than the ranger (higher wisdom, +2 to survival), especially wildshaped. And, if you choose the right shape, a very good scout.

Just some thoughts.

This realy sounds like a recipe for disaster. The GMs have railroaded your concept a bit, and now have disagreements about how they see the class?

I have not seen any liturature that discusses the current druid as the Paladin of Nature. Older editions that was more true when they had to be Neutral, but now, they are much more flexable, and in Eberron, they are actualy quite not paladinish (One sect wants to destroy the world, which seems very anti-paladinish).

If he/she continues to view it like this, it could cause problems when you actualy sit down to game, as you'll be trying to play one way, and end up having to play the other. Hopefully things will loosen up. Just try to talk to them about the concept of your character and personality. Eventualy you can find one that will fit.
I totally agree with Bront.
