All I'm saying is that IF that is the business model (as ZzarkLinux) describes, it's reprehensible. Of course, I'm not sure it is the model WotC is using. I just don't think WotC realizes how much of a hole they are leaving. Also, I don't think fans of these campaign worlds are asking for more content. Past editions have given us plenty of content already. All we really want are updated 5e rules for each campaign setting. I don't care if they sell those rules or make them free downloads, but we do need a set of official D&D campaign world rules. Otherwise, everyone who plays Ravenloft or Dragonlance will be using their own custom rules and there won't be any consistency. That's even more important for fan created content associated with these campaign settings. For Ravenloft we at least need rules for powers checks, domain lords, perhaps an updated map, etc.. For Dragonlance, we need rules for moon magic and Wizards of HS, Knights subclasses, etc. Sure we can create them, but many of us who don't have the time wouldn't mind buying them either.
