D&D 5E Check Out Some (Minor) Monster Reveals From Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants!

Thanks to miniatures company WizKids, some upcoming miniatures reveal some of the monsters in this Spring's official D&D adventure.

Some of the creatures included in the book (which naturally have a 'giant' theme) are:

• Stone Giant of Evil Earth
• Fire Hellion
• Goliath Chief
• Frostmourn
• Giant Lynx
• Death Giant Necromancer

There's not much more info than that, although the Death Giant Necromancer gets a description --

This Huge miniature features a chilling expression reminiscent of the grave. The souls flitting about this wizard of the undead will be sure to inspire terror for all that look upon its fell visage.

The grave is calling… how will you answer?

Elminster's Guide to the Nine Hells, perhaps? He did canonically spend time in Baator as a prisoner of the outcast archdevil Nergal, as I recall...

Maybe pair it up with an Iggwilv's Demonomicon to cover the Abyss, and suddenly I realize I've just reinvented the 3.5e Fiendish Codicies...

So, having looked into this a bit, there ate 3 Demonic "Interloper gids" in the Giant Pantheon:

• Baphomat, who isn't associated with a kind oglf Giant that I can find

Baphomet was associated with minotaurs (which were lumped in with giants in the 2e's Monster Mythology).

Right, and it seems in Ray Winninger's Giantcraft, as well, which is a major source for 5E Giant lore. Wouldn't surprise me if one of the 4 Demon cultists here is a Huge Giant-turned-Fiendish-Minotaur...not quite as clear to me which it could be, Kostchtchie is all.set up for evil Frost Gisnt cultists, and the Troll Demon Lord for Hill Giants...and I'd say a lichen covered Stone Giant cultists of Zuggomanty would make sense...
