You only needed to state this in your review "Gone are the cards from Red Clearance Edition", to peak my interest. I played the original back in the day briefly as an aside to regular RRing at my college D&D club. That was with the more advant garde members of the club and we had a blast. My next experience was with the Red Clearance Edition. I'm a person who plays a lot of miniature and board games too, including those classified as Ameritrash due to their multitude of plastic and card components. So in other words, I have a fairly high tolerance for on table game pieces and props. That said, I didn't like how RC Edition's action cards effected and impacted game play. The rest of the group were players who regularly played more narrative games like FATE and Fiasco - whoah did they bounce hard off of action cards! I'm really interested in this edition, but like other Mongoose published RPGs it'll no doubt be a struggle to source it through any LGS. Which is what I'd prefer, as said LGS have tables which they're more prone to making available to in-store purchasers. I might just have to order directly from Mongoose UK, which I've been told has recently lowered shipping costs to my country. With the added perk that they give you the PDF for free if you order directly. Goood review, but I didn't see any mention in it about the artwork. I bring it up, because the artwork wasn't particularly good for RCE - how is it for this new edition?
