We've retained a number of famous industry professionals to attend, such as Ed Greenwood, Robin D. Laws, Michael Kortes, and more!</p><p></p><p>Hours of operation and day pass prices are as follows:</p><p>*Friday 6pm-Midnight $10</p><p>*Saturday 9am-midnight $20</p><p>*Sunday 9am-6PM $15</p><p></p><p>Weekend passes are $35 on early bird special. We're also looking for volunteers to run games over the course of the weekend, or to assist with day to day operations. For every four hours you run a game you'll be credited $5 towards your entry fee. If you run twelve hours of games over the weekend you'll be credited a full weekend pass. If interested in volunteering please <a href="http://www.critcon.ca/contact" target="_blank">contact us</a>.</p><p></p><p>We're going to have a board game library available, so that attendees can sign out games of their choice to play at their leisure. We're also going to have a Magic tournament operate during the convention. Friday night is designed to be a social introduction to the con, featuring a cash bar and light refreshments.</p><p></p><p>Our celebrity guests, all based near or out of Toronto, will be hosting a varying number of events. We're going for local talent to match our goal of bringing gaming back to the Toronto core, as it's bled out in recent years. Ed Greenwood, our keynote speaker, is extremely famous within the gaming community. He invented the Forgotten Realms, the most popular setting within tabletop role playing. Ed has agreed to run a game where the seats are to be auctioned off, with proceeds going to <a href="http://www.childrensbookbank.com/" target="_blank">The Children's Book Bank</a>, a registered charity that helps promote childhood literacy.</p><p></p><p>Michael Kortes is running a multi-table Pathfinder game Saturday March 18 from 7PM-midnight. Titled The Defence of Steel Rain Pass, the game can host up to 48 players at 8 different tables, and will see them defending a keep from an invading Orc army.</p><p></p><p>The convention is open to everyone regardless of affiliation with U of T.
