genetic enhancements

I'll put my $ where my mouth is:

Dural Fold Enhancement
Description: The Dural Folds “…provide additional stabilization and support to the brain….” Normally, “1 in 8 head trauma results in serious brain damage.” This enhancement increases the character chances to 1 in 16.

Pre-Frontal Cortex Enhancement:
Description: The Pre-Frontal Cortex “…coordinates information…and…performs such abstract intellectual functions as predicting the future consequences of events or actions.” There are three levels to this enhancement, each one granting a +5 bonus to the Foretelling skill.

Synovial Fluid Enhancements:
Description: Synovial Fluid is the fluid that resides in your joints that lubricates the joints, transfers nutrients and acts as a shock absorber . There are two types of enhancements one can get to their Synovial Fluid: Increased Lubrication and Enhanced Shock Absorption.

Increase Lubrication:
This modification allows a character move more smoothly due the increased lubrication of the modified Synovial Fluid. There are three different levels to this enhancement. Level 1 gives the character a +2 on their Init {Cumulative with Improved Initiative}. Level 2 gives the character an additional +2 as well as a +2 DEX. Level 3 gives an additional +2 Init, +2 DEX as well as a increasing the character’s base speed by 10.

Enhanced Shock Absorption:
This modification allows a character to take falls better than normal. There are five levels to this enhancement, each level increasing the falling increment by 2 ft. Normally, the falling increment is 10 ft., but a character with Level 1, there increment would be 12 ft.

Description: Skill Memories are “…learned motor behavior….” Each time a character takes this enhancement, they must choose a skill that they do not have. Once they choose this, they now have 1 rank in that skill

This project is not a Sci-Fi project or setting. This is a specific goal to create a flight system for a wide number of different settings and will not be trying to over exert itself to create anything more then vessel rules. These rules are not specific to a futuristic setting either. Our rules will cover air ships in a fantasy setting as well as fantasy ships in space and yes, technological marvels in a low or non-magic settings.

BUT genetics rules and cybernetic rules are beyond the scope of the project. The previous work on this project ended up trying to over-extend itself and became overly complex and focused on defining planets, civilizations, etc... but had almost no real work on ship combat mechanics, which should be the heart of this system and project.

This is not to say your work isn't good, or cool, or couldn't be used in a setting with our system, but it is not part of our project.
