Easter eggs which are totally random, and which don’t make sense lorewise, are kinda irksome. Feels more like pandering. It’s like the random Mystara Easter eggs which Rateliff threw into the 2e Return to the Keep on the Borderlands (d’Ambreville, Cynidecean characters). The lore and setting of the module made little sense either in Mystara or in Greyhawk (despite the GH logo on the back). Folks, including me, called Wizards to account on the WotC msg boards. And some higher-up came on (I think it was Ryan Dancey) and apologized, saying that the GH logo was a mistake. Now, I don’t want to make too big a deal of this. It’s “nice” to see the Kids. But it’s also random, only one step up from: “Hey, let’s use Raistlin, Aleena, Robilar, and Molliver as illustrations of the PCs in the new Starter Set. Grognards will love it!” Include some in-universe lore and reason why they are there! Like I said earlier in the thread, a fitting “amends” would be for Wizards to:

Open up The Realm of the D&D Cartoon Show for community creation at DMs Guild.
Publish a DMs Guild short supplementary PDF which gives 5e stats for the Kids, and an in-universe explanation for how the Kids ended up in Abeir-Toril (again) at this time.
