It was a great interview and answered a lot of questions. It must have been part of the agreement to not mention Critical Role or Exandria. Literally no mention of the cast, the stream, or the setting. Despite the race names being the same as the ones Matt’s now using in Exandria for the stream.
Some things addressed that I remember being discussed:
- Plan is that cards are included with books and all the information is in the book anyway so the cards are just an aid.
- No explicit plan for a default world, there will be tools for collaborative worldbuilding but it's ultimately the GMs choice how much those are used and no reason why you couldn't use say Forgotten Realms or whatever homebrew setting you already have
- There has been some discussion on public playtests, but nothing finalized

He did waffle and backtrack on the world. By the end of that question it sounded very much like there would be a default world but GMs were encouraged to collaborate and make up a world with their players.
