He uses the 1000 Faces druidic ability to seem like an old man, even though he's actually not in an advanced age category yet. Even the specific form of druidism that he practices is an ancient one, emphasizing spellcasting and a sort of monasticism rather than the shape-shifting common to more modern druids.</p><p></p><p>In the beginning of each lifetime, he is sought after and found by a pixie bard named Tatterdemalion. At first she simply sets him on the path to self-discovery. Later on, she joins him as a companion.
