The storm brought down some trees on the trail they were following, and Patrin set himself to clearing them, stripping off his armor and putting his shield aside before he went to work.

There were definite signs of goblin patrols in the swamp. They even saw one in the distance somewhere. Mathariel tries to pin down if the patrols are moving in any set route.

Sindabar had extensive knowledge of almost anything. History is a true allied if conquered. He had heard about this forest in old stories about this region, of the dangers within and the general characteristics. That sort of information might give the group enough data to avoid dangerous creatures and such other hazards. However, the sound of the goblin patrols nearby doesn't allow the wizard to concentrate properly.
