Does a psicrystal grant line of sight for the purposes of casting spells?

As topic (EDIT: Meant manifesting powers and not casting spells, of course). According to Expanded Psionics Handbook, the telepathic link a psicrystal grants means that the owner has "the same connection to a room as the psicrystal has." This is followed up with the note that the character could, for example, teleport to the room.

This would suggest that a character could stand outside the room, with a target within the room within the range of his mind thrust spell (but with no line of sight), and if the psicrystal was within the room the character could manifest mind thrust on the target.

Is this correct or false?

As I understand it, the example regarding teleporting has more to do with the specific requirements of many D&D teleports, which is a certain degree of familiarity with the location you are arriving in.

This does not expand in meaning to apply to all forms of line of sight.
