Issue 43 Dreamworlds, Issue 44 Ice Palace Kolius
The campaign for this months issue of The Oracle will launch on 18 January 2024. For 2024 we are going back to running a campaign every other month for the publication but this time, you have the option to only purchase one of them if you prefer (we know that some people pick and choose based on the theme). Thanks to the new format, there are some small logistical savings so we can pass on some of those to regular readers.
The issues coming up present two different locations - #42 Dreamworlds In here we invite you to explore a whole new plane of reality known as the dreamlands. Yes, you do get there via your sleep but once you are there the worlds are real. Indeed, we are presenting you with a race that comes from the dreamlands and can move into our reality. They are suitable for use as player characters as a result.
And of course, we have funky nightmare creatures, strange tales from the dreamlands and NPCs who visit and draw on the powers of this new realm. Lots of fun, and we are keeping it fairly grounded so it can fit into a regular fantasy campaign setting without upsetting it. (Although we do discuss how to make it bonkers!)
#43 Ice Palace Kolius presents exactly that. A big, deserted ice palace with history, NPC factions, creatures, items and a whole bunch of stuff. The idea is this is a one stop location for adventuring so we will give you all the content that you need for that. This is the first issue focused on a single issue and we've been looking to do this for a long time. Exciting to now be at that point.
