This is a bad oversight and shows a rather limited view of the PDF as a medium. Not good at all.</p><p></p><p>Contents </p><p>The first section of the book is an article on finding inspiration in the works of others. It focuses a bit on Redwall and Final Fantasy and is decent standard magazine fare.</p><p></p><p>Fans of the Polyhedron minigames will be pleased with the D20 Modern powered Time Police setting. This setting is essentially a create an alternate dimension setting and offers lots of roaming room for GM's and players. It looks pretty fun and will certainly give you a chance to use a bunch of different books.</p><p></p><p>The next article is a class variant, the Totem Druid. This is an animal focused druid that would work very nicely in conjunction with the Totem Warrior (from Arcana Evolved) or the Totem Barbarian variant from Unearthed Arcana. I like core class variants in general and this one is decent </p><p></p><p>The next article is a little unusual. It is essentially about a single feat, the new agey Advanced Spirit Feat which allows PC's to temporarily take a template. I really like this idea as it versatile, allows cool power ups and is unique. Its near worth the cost of the book IMO</p><p></p><p>Land Ho is a mainly statless article on exploration that gives information on how to better play expolartion and colonizing type adventures which are an underplayed sort of adventure. I find the article detailed, useful and all around excellent </p><p></p><p>Next up is Fiends of Sin which gives you 7 demons, each representing one of the deadly sins. These fiends range from CR7 to Cr13, cover all 3 of evil alignments and look to be well balanced. These are especially nice for use in Christian Like cosmologies. This article is well executed and useful</p><p></p><p>The adventures guide to surviving anything is a good resource for novice and experienced gamers both. It covers Flying (and how to deal with it) and in the second part Infants, Prisoners, & Tag-Alongs. There are plenty of hints for both players and GM making it pretty useful</p><p></p><p>The Last article, a Mythic Earth article covers a version of Headless Horseman for both low and high fantasy campaigns. While the article is well written and has plenty of adventure hooks few players play Earth as a setting. This can make its utility might be a bit limited. Still owners of Northern Crown may get some use of it and it can be adapted (with a bit of work) for any powder and shot area game.</p><p></p><p>There is enough good stuff in this PDF to make it worth the $4.95 if you play D20 Modern or D&D or any of several other D20 games.
