Again, it might be a problem for dual class humans (or bard), For my bard, I intend to get to ftr7 and thief8. Ignoring the 10% bonus and other rewards, the character stops ftr with 96000 xp (wasting 26000xp) at the end of chapter 7 and switches to thief for chapter 8, does he just dump the 96000 xp gained into thief and immediately jump from level 1 to level 8? Then he only needs 14000 to jump to bard? Getting 158000 in a lump from chapter 9 is again inconvenient. He should have been a bard for nearly 144000 of those xp. That's 10 levels of bard missed out on heading into chapter 10. And if you go by the rule that doesn't allow you to jump more than one level per rest period, it means wasting tons of xp leveling far to slowly. I don't know how the adventure is designed. But if there are acts inside each chapter, splitting up the rewards by acts will be more 1e-like. The magic user and fighter will spend all of chapter 1 and 2 at 1st level. The thief will jump to level 3 when they finally get to level 2. Oh, and I finally figure out method V. Method V gives you 42 dice distributed as 9d6, 8d6, 7d6, 6d6, 5d6, 4d6, 3d6. So, if you want a bard, just go 6d6 x7 and allow reshuffle. Still difficult to get really high stats. But hey, you need 4 15s. (and who knows what the minimum comeliness value should be? :) )
