He was the youngest of five children from a halfling family that had fallen on hard times. Lacking money, his family lived in a small, run-down house in a large city. Like his house, his clothes and other possessions were in a serious state of disrepair throughout his youth. Further adding to his hardships was the fact that he had an abusive father; Beuford Lightfoot was a large (as far as halflings go) man, strong for one of his kind. Seldom did Beuford allow Falcon to forget this strength. Many nights, Falcon’s father, drunk from his ever-present bottle of wine, would beat Falcon, sometimes into unconsciousness. He drifted from town to town, taking work and payment wherever he could find it, though he never stayed on long as an employee for anyone. It was during these travels when he stumbled upon the city of Mor’s End, upon the shores of Lake Enoria, and there that he found a job that, though he didn’t love, at least enjoyed. Wading in the waters of Lake Enoria, harvesting the tentacles of the silkfish, helped to take his thoughts off of his troubled past, and the sun glinting off of the waves aided him in clearing his mind. It was here that Falcon learned that he could acquire a magic bracelet that would assist him in claiming power over his fellow merchants, and even rise to the top of the Silkers Circle. He bought a nondescript copper band to wear on his arm. This band functions as a staff with fifty charges in it. For one charge, charm person is cast, and for two, suggestion is cast, both at caster level 5 (Will Save, DC 11 and 14, respectively). Falcon’s skill with magic items allows him to utilize this copper band, even though it functions as a staff.
