Gog.com
This is a company taking old games and setting them up under an emulator and selling them on the cheap. Lots of great old games from $6 to $10. It's my understanding that the game comes as a download with no copy protection and guaranteed to run on your system. Buy it once and it's yours forever. Do what you want with it. I bought Fallout and it's working like a charm.
The company is in beta but some games can be purchased. I'm hopeing that when they get up and going, their library will be huge.
Another positive is a forum for each game so that you can get information and ask questions of others about a game before you buy it, and to post for help or discussion after you buy it! This is probably the future of computer gaming for many.
