They were a core PC race in Alternity, the Fraal being the alien race that resembles the typically "Grey" alien seen by many who've reported they've been abducted by aliens. They've generally being a highly psionic PC race so I think most of their abilities would fall under that. So I'm trying to put something together for them.
-First of all type, they probably Humanoid or Fey. I'd argue they'd be Fey since before the thing about UFOs and spaceships, many people who had "Sleep Paralysis" reported abduction by Faeries, but when the concepts of space and aliens became more common, those claims often shifted towards the type of alien the Fraal represent.
-Size they might be medium or small, I'd lean into medium size.
-Ability scores are the standard 2/1 or 3 points, post-Tasha's Cauldron.
-Telepathic communication, I guess we'll go with something like the Kalashtar's Mind Link ability.
-Proficiency in the Insight skill
-Something psionic like, such as Charm Person once per long rest + use it more if you have spell slots.
