I'm curious as to the state of Character Generation/ Play time s/w tools. Yeah, I've got almost all of the freeware ones, like GCA and HeroForge, but none are quite worthy of being called endlessly useful.
I was impressed with Hero Lab from Lone Wolf. I saw this in it's debut at GenCon 2 weeks back.

While it's not out yet, the promise looks pretty good. If it's half as useful and useable as Army Builder (their previous offering for fantasy miniature armies) it'll kick butt. They're saying this Fall as the release date.
So, dreaming big, what would *you* look for in a Char Gen tool? in a play-mode tool?
