Hey guys! I wanted to try my hand at creating a customizable generalist wizard that encourages playing creatively. How does this look? Always Prepared - Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, you may prepare an additional number of wizard spells each day equal to your wizard level/5 (rounded up). Quick Cantrip - Starting at 2nd level, your focus on the fundamentals allows you to cast certain cantrips quickly. You can take a Bonus Action on each of your turns in Combat. This action can be used only to cast one of the following cantrips that you know: Friends, Dancing Lights, Light, Mage Hand, Mending, Message, Minor Illusion, and Prestidigitation. Rote Memorization - At the 6th level, you have achieved such mastery over certain Spells that you can cast them at will. Choose a one of the following spells which is your Spellbook: unseen servant, silent image, disguise self, detect magic, alarm, tenser's floating disc, feather fall, comprehend languages, jump. You can cast the spell you have chosen at its lowest level without expending a spell slot when you have it prepared. If you want to cast the spell at a higher level, you must expend a spell slot as normal. By spending 8 hours in study, you can exchange the spell you chose for a different one which you could have chosen. Magical Secrets - By 10th level, you have plundered magical knowledge from a wide spectrum of disciplines.
