Combat Round 2..3 - Wrap Up Aja takes a turn northward and moves in at a hustle. As she closes in, her hand goes to the longspear as she casts her senses about. The cleric nods in Hailey's direction, acknowledging having heard her call out. Despite her ally's confirmation for the lack of visual signs of trouble, Aja remains tense, giving the scream she heard due respect. Vandor drew his crossbow and headed due west. Someone could be in trouble or not. It is always best to be prepared for trouble. Zeta completes her movement up to the east wall of the house and presses up against it to peek around through the window. She checks the window to see if it opens, and is unlocked, as well. It is closed and locked. With the others closing up behind, Hailey had not seen what was causing the ruckus. Over her shoulder she said, “Let me look in the windows.” She stepped up to the left window (west) on the south wall of the house, merely glancing quickly before stepping to her right to take a look into the right window (east). Hailey glances in the west window and sees that it is an entry hallway but nothing is amiss. The window to the east looks into a storeroom. Some things are scattered on the floor and the door into the room is wide open. Hailey called out, “I don’t see anything but ransacked storeroom in here.” “I will watch around the corner to keep checking windows if you two cover that door,” she said to the two following her as she gestured to the door to the house west of her. She stepped more to her right around near the door on the east side of the house. Olrich keeps jogging up to the cottage behind Hailey, still on the lookout for an ambush. From the shrubbery at the northeastern corner of the Foundry, Twist covertly peered around the corner toward the house and the scream. Twist felt the hairs on the back of his spine raise in fear. Heeding this warning, Twist drew a dagger but otherwise made no further movement. A pair of beady eyes scanned the exterior of the house for tell-tale signs of trouble, and the ratling's nose worked overtime. He sees nothing to indicate what is causing the noise. The door bursts open and a robot lurches forth and moves with a jerky, staggering gait. It is five feet tall and made of a gray and white metal-like polymer. Its torso and arms and head are vaguely humanoid, with one blazing “eye” in the center of its head and a four-fingered hand on each arm. Bits and pieces of its chassis are missing, exposing the delicate circuitry within, and it makes loud and tortured grinding noises as it moves. It appears to be attempting to dismantle the house.
