They are demonic beings that love to turn fertile soil into wastelands, and forests into swamps.</p><p></p><p>Kalevanpojat speak both Abyssal and Giant.</p><p></p><p><strong>Combat</strong></p><p>Kalevanpojat’s carry magical sickles that allows it to cast (at will) <em>blight</em>, <em>diminish plants</em>, <em>entangle</em>, <em>fog cloud</em>, <em>giant vermin</em>, <em>insect plague</em>, <em>move earth</em>, <em>soften earth and stone</em>, <em>transmute rock to mud</em>, <em>transmute mud to rock</em>, and <em>unhallow</em>.</p><p></p><p>The kalevanpojat is considered a 12[sup]th[/sup]-level druid for purposes of casting these spells. It uses its Constitution modifier for the spell’s DCs, instead of its Wisdom modifier. These powers are tied to both the demon and the magical weapon. If the weapon is taken away from the kalevanpojat then it becomes only as a <em>Large +3 sickle</em>.</p><p></p><p>A kalevanpojat’s natural weapons are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.</p><p></p><p><em>Rock Throwing</em> (Ex): Kalevanpojats are accomplished rock throwers, just like giants, and receive a +1 racial bonus on attack rolls when throwing rocks. A kalevanpojat can hurl rocks weighing 40 to 50 pounds each (Small objects) up to five range increments. The range increment is 120 feet for a kalevanpojat’s thrown rocks.</p><p></p><p><em>Smite Good</em> (Su): Once per day, the kalevanpojat can make a normal melee attack to deal an extra 12 points of damage against a good foe.</p><p></p><p><em>Spell-like Abilities</em>: 1/day –- <em>burning hands</em>, <em>fire seeds</em>, <em>fire shield</em>, <em>flaming sphere</em>, <em>produce flame</em>, <em>wall of fire</em>. The kalevanpojat can launch up to 12 spikes per day.</p><p></p><p><em>Rock Catching</em> (Ex): A kalevanpojat can catch Small, Medium, or Large rocks (or projectiles of similar shape). Once per round, a kalevanpojat that would normally be hit by a rock can make a Reflex save to catch it as a free action. The DC is 15 for a Small rock, 20 for a Medium one, and 25 for a Large one. (If the projectile provides a magical bonus on attack rolls, the DC increases by that amount.)
