Phar senses something vaguely familiar about this sword. He's read about it. It was an old story about a meteor and a group of five weapons known as the Star Arms. He remembers a story from his youth about a punching dagger the elves of his homeland call Ta'kira'kerymor, or Sword-breaker. This weapon is related to it. Phar isn't sure what the weapon is called but knows that it is intelligent. For it to be here in this place, unguarded, is strange and troublesome. Whoever it belonged to would not have given it up without a fight. Phar remembers that the Star Arms are considered to be highly unique. While they are not true artifacts, they are gifted with abilities that go beyond normal magical weapons. Besides this sword and Ta'kira'kerymor, there is a stiletto that the orcs call Kang, a great mace that the dwarves call Azurak, and another weapon that Phar can't remember any details about. Phar remembers that part of the story tells that the weapons seek to be together even though they have different senses of morality. This sword is revered by humans, especially empire-builders. The light the weapon is shedding is likely a signal from the weapon that it wants to be picked up and taken somewhere. As Phar circles the weapon, he has this sense that it wants to speak to him through the elf's mind but can't unless Phar picks up the weapon. Phar suspects the weapon can speak outloud, but is choosing not to do so.
