Sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled up in the south end of this large cave. To the west, the floor slopes toward a narrow opening that descends into darkness. A larger opening leads north down a set of natural stone steps, the roar of falling water echoing from beyond. In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smolder. With Selari in the lead, the group comes up the stairs from the pool chamber. Within, Selari spots a massive bugbear, eating a roasted bird of some sort, tossing the bones to a mangy and decidedly unpleasant looking wolf. Two goblins guard the bugbear. The narrow opening to the west is very likely the top of the natural chimney the group found in the wolf lair upon first entering the caves. The sacks and crates are scattered about behind the bugbear, most busted open, a few still intact. Most of the crates have a blue lion marking on them, the sign of the Lionshield Coster, a merchant company headquartered in Neverwinter, with a warehouse in Phandalin. The bugbear bellows imperiously at one of the goblins, in the goblinoid language. [sblock=For those who understand goblinoid]"Lord Klarg is thirsty! Bring Klarg the Mighty more ale! Now, pathetic minions! How can Klarg the Warlord conquer and pillage when he is dying of thirst!"[/sblock] [ooc]Selari and anyone behind her who chooses to may make a Dexterity (Stealth) check to try and sneak in, unnoticed. You will have to beat the wolf's Passive Perception of 13. Because of the stairs, you will have to fully enter the room before using ranged weapons.[/ooc]
