Mephistopheles on Dungeon 140

I was looking for information on a past issue of Dungeon at the paizo site and happened to find the cover art for Dungeon 140. Took me a moment to figure out who that was, until I remembered the trident from BoVD. http://paizo.com/image/product/catalog/TSR/TSR82140_500.jpeg


Not a bad representation of old Mephisto, though I think he'd be better served with more of a snear on his face, (though maybe he is and the actual cover art will reveal that).

Bah, they made him look a notch less manly and less of a Metal Head, Good art, though. :]

I agree with Stormrunner, though Wayne Reynolds did it pretty darn well in Book of Vile Darkness as shown above by frankthedm.

Not on the cover of a magazine I need to read in public :p . D&D is more about chopping foes into chunks than it is about seducing foes.
