[PLAIN][Merlin’s Workshop] Classically Modern 1.0 is complete.[/PLAIN] Download 400+ FREE pages of Class and Occupation options for D20 Modern and variant games from http://www.merlinsworkshop.co.uk http://www.merlinsworkshop.co.uk The Past When the previews of D20 Modern where released, and the mini-games began appearing in Polyhedron, we started a campaign that is sort of a cross between Stargate, Quantum Leap and Sliders. We liked the way that the class abilities in the previews where organised into talent trees, so started working on the same thing for the D&D classes, well before D20 Modern was released. The campaign when the D20 Modern rules where released, but wanted to be able to use the D&D classes under D20 Modern rules - hence the continuation of the conversion work. With talent trees for both Base and Archaic classes, it seamed only natural to go back and do the same thing to the Advanced classes from the D20 Modern rulebook - I was very disappointed that the writers had come up with such a clever way to clean un class progression, then stopped without implementing it fully. That, and some welcome insight from the Wotc and Enworld D20 Modern message boards, lead to the first release of Classically Modern, as a free 80 page PDF, in early in 2003. The Present Now it is May 2005 and Merlin’s Workshop has completed a complete revision of the original, now running to over 400 pages across 26 FREE modular PDF documents. Features include:

90 Occupations (18 Vocations, 8 Universal, 12 Archaic, 24 Modern, 8 Future & 23 Historical)
24 Base Classes (18 Vocational, 6 Aptitude)
78 New or Expanded Advanced Classes (12 Universal, 12 Archaic, 24 Modern, 12 Future, 12 Historical, & 12 Psionic)
20 Archaic & Psionic Prestige Classes
‘Hero’ and ‘Specialist’ Generic Classes
In-build Epic Progression
90 Example Heroic Characters
94 New or Expanded Talent Trees
175 New and Collated Feats
Clothing & equipment kits integrated into occupations
Collated weapons and armour for historical to future settings.
The Future

Robot Construction - A self contained preview of the Civilization Codex book of technology. This chapter be added, free, as a Classically Modern download available mid-2005.
Antony Walls Merlin's Workshop The Crystal Caves of Hampshire England
